Integration Facility
Steatite has opened a purpose-built facility specifically for the design, build, and support of integrated systems, including Operator Consoles and rack cabinets.
Based in Ashchurch, Gloucestershire (UK) and offering around 7,000 square feet of production space, the new facility is ideally located to benefit from a wealth of local Engineering and Manufacturing talent, while offering good transport links to the rest of the country.
Our Capabilities
Rack Cabinets & Consoles
The new facility specialises in the integration of COTS components, including computers, displays, networking, timing, power distribution, and other hardware into rugged rack cabinets and operator consoles.
Steatite offers ground-up cabinet and console design services for use on new platforms and is also able to upgrade existing consoles and cabinets with newer technology, helping to save time and money.
Military Grade
Steatite manufacture military-grade operator consoles for use on naval platforms. The consoles are designed and certified to meet relevant military standards and manufactured at the Ashchurch site over an 18-month period.
These systems meet the relevant MIL-STDs and DEF-STANs for EMC, shock, vibration, temperature, and electrical safety. Additionally, Steatite has previously designed and manufactured Integrated Systems to meet NATO SDIP-27 “TEMPEST” standards.
Rail & Medical
The services offered by Steatite Integrated Systems in Ashchurch, Gloucestershire (UK) are also relevant to other heavily regulated industries, such as rail and medical.
Steatite has significant experience in the design and manufacturer of computing systems to EN50155 and EN60601 standards and can build on this to offer integrated rack cabinets for use on trains or in medical facilities.
