Our Capabilities
Obsolescence Management
The BOMs for complex systems can often contain from several hundreds up to a thousand plus materials. If any of these components is discontinued, it could have a significant knock-on effect on the manufacturability and supportability of the system.
Steatite offer proactive obsolescence management services tailored to the requirements of a given project. It’s better to find out a component is going EOL before it is discontinued rather than just after.
Tech Refresh
To offer the long-term support required by military platforms, technology upgrades will be required on a periodic basis.
To simplify this process, Steatite always try to design systems in a modular way utilising industry-standard form factors.
We can design upgrade kits for the consoles and cabinets that we’ve supplied, as well as for those supplied by other manufacturers, and can perform these upgrades in-house.
System Maintenance
To help simplify the maintenance of the consoles and cabinets that we build, they are made up of a number of individual LRUs that can be replaced in the field by suitably trained and security-cleared personnel.
Reliability modelling can be used to help plan spares stock holding for the duration of the program, and Steatite can offer extended warranties and other services to ensure any repairs are carried out in a cost-effective and timely manner.
